Osmania Univ alumna Priyadarshini Gaddam assumes office as NMDC’s Director-Personnel 

Priyadarshini Gaddam appointed as Director (Personnel) at NMDC, leading the way for women in mining industry.

Priyadarshini Gaddam is the new Director (Personnel) of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC).

Prior to the appointment, Ms. Gaddam was Chief General Manager (Personnel and Administration) and Head of Personnel for both NMDC Corporate Office in Hyderabad and NMDC Steel (NSL) in Nagarnar. She assumed office as Director (Personnel) on Friday (February 28, 2025) and appointed as a functional director on the Board of the company by the Steel Ministry, the State-owned miner said on Saturday.

She joined NMDC as an Executive Trainee in 1992 and rose through the ranks and emerged as a leader thereby paving the way for more women in leadership roles in the mining industry. In her over three decade service, Ms. Gaddam has played a defining role in shaping an ecosystem that ensures a safe workplace for women and provides equal opportunities for persons with benchmark disabilities while setting the highest standards of employee welfare at NMDC. She represented NMDC in the Second Pay Revision Commission with respect to the Pay Revision of CPSEs and has since achieved milestone outcomes in negotiating wage settlements, the company said.

An alumna of Osmania University, Hyderabad, Ms. Gaddam holds a postgraduate degree in Social Work (Personnel Management and Industrial Relations) along with an LLB.
