Class 12 public examination begins in districts

Over 33,000 students appeared for Class 12 Public Examinations in Dindigul, Theni, and Virudhunagar districts.
A total of 20,786 students in Dindigul district and 13,020 students in Theni district appeared for the Class 12 Public Examinations that began on Monday.
A total of 9,821 boys and 10,965 girls appeared for the Public examination in Dindigul district. At total of 405 students were absent. Dindigul Collector S. Saravanan along with the officials from the School Education Department inspected the examination centres at St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School and Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Dindigul. There are a total of 86 examination centres in the district.
A total of 6,245 boys and 6,775 girls appeared for the Public examination in Theni district. At total of 206 students were absent. Theni Collector Ranjeet Singh along with the officials from the School Education Department inspected the examination centres at Mary Matha Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Government Model Higher Secondary School in Allinagaram. There are a total of 54 examination centres in in the district.
Drinking water, restroom and other facilities were made available at the examination centres. Teams were deployed to monitor the Public examinations.
Virudhunagar: Out of the total 22,224 boys and girls who were to sit for the Plus Two examination on Monday, 420 of them had absented themselves in Virudhunagar district.
The Plus Two examination began on Monday with Part I language, including Tamil exam being the first one. The exams were conducted in 98 centres.
A total of 248 boys and 172 girls were absent. Among the absentees were 20 private candidates.
