
34,065 students appear for Class XII exams in Madurai

34,065 students appeared for Class XII Board exams in Madurai, with 626 absent, across 109 exam centers.
A total of 34,065 students appeared for the language subject on the first day of Class XII Board examination in Madurai on Monday.
In the 109 exam centres including Madurai central prison, 34,065 students appeared for the examination. While 34,691 students applied for the examination, 626 were registered absent.
Of the 323 schools in the district, 37,457 students, 18, 734 boys and 18,723 girls, had applied for the examinations.
In Tamil subject, out of 33,814 students, 33,204 were present and 610 were absent.
In French, all 462 students were present. In Arabic, 81 students of the total 90 students were present and nine were absent.
Similarly in Hindi, of 75 allotted strength, 71 were present. For Sanskrit, of 250 students, 247 were present.
While 428 candidates had applied to appear privately, 379 had appeared and 49 were absent.
