Senior litterateur S.L. Bhyrappa will inaugurate the seventh edition of the two-day Mangaluru Lit Fest at TMA Pai International Convention Centre here on January 11.
Organised by Bharat Foundation, Shatavadhani R. Ganesh will be present during the inaugural session.
Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, Sunil Kulkarni, trustee of the foundation, said that over 60 language experts, senior writers, emerging writers, authors, young poets, and orators will participate in the festival, which will conclude on Sunday.
Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas; Vikram Sood, former chief of the Intelligence Bureau; Dileep Sinha, former Indian diplomat and author, and K. Annamalai, former IPS officer and Tamil Nadu BJP State president, are among those who will participate.
Some of the other participants are Vikram Sampath, historian and author; Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, JNU Vice-Chancellor; V. Nagaraj, president of the Mythic Society; Claude Arpi, Himalayan geopolitical expert; Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, political analyst and former MP; Samashti Gubbi, Sanskrit content creator; H.R. Vishwas, Sanskrit scholar and author, and Vandana Rai, creative educator.
There will be 29 sessions across two main stages and a dedicated discussion/chat area named ‘harate katte.’
The Union Minister will speak on ‘Energy for survival - Security and Climate’ on the inaugural day at 10.45 a.m. after the inauguration at 10 a.m.
