Minister C.V. Ganesan inaugurates phase III of Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme in Krishnagiri
Minister for Labour Welfare and Skill Development C.V. Ganesan inaugurated the third phase of “Makkaludan Mudhalvar” scheme in Krishnagiri on Thursday.
The inauguration entailed disbursement of welfare scheme benefits worth ₹2.56 crore to over 961 eligible persons.
At the event, Mr. Ganesan said, the petitions received through the camps were resolved within 30 days. In the first and the second phases of the programme, over 36,313 petitions were received in Krishnagiri and all were resolved.
On labour welfare, Mr.Ganesan said disbursement of compensation for deaths of labour from industrial accidents were expedited and a compensation of ₹5 lakh was disbursed within 48 hours of such accidents.
Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme, which was first inaugurated in Dharmapuri, had seen making tangible difference in the lives of people, pushing the lower bureaucracy into processing demands in a timebound manner, according to the Minister.
Earlier, Mr.Ganesan disbursed welfare scheme benefits of various departments to over 961 persons here.
