Arrest of Vamsi illegal, says YSRCP leader Botcha Satyanarayana. The NDA government in Andhra Pradesh has been resorting to vendetta politics since coming to power, and has failed to implement its electoral promises, he says.
YSR Congress Party MLC Botcha Satyanarayana on Thursday termed the arrest of former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi as illegal and accused the government of resorting to political vendetta.
“The NDA government has been resorting to diversion politics, blaming the previous government, making debts and troubling the YSRCP leaders since coming to power. The coalition government has failed to implement the promises it made to the people before the elections,” Mr. Satyanarayana said while addressing the media here.
“The rising prices of essential commodities, hike in power tariffs, new taxes, and power-cuts before the advent of summer indicate that governance is in a shambles,” he said.
Demanding a timeline for implementation of the promised welfare schemes, he said the YSRCP government had implemented the poll promises with commitment. The State’s finances were better than the national average despite COVID-19, the YSRCP leader claimed.
Stating that students, youth, and women were badly affected due to lack of proper governance, he said the non-implementation of Super Six schemes would be taken up in the Legislative Council.
Referring to the constructions at Rushikonda, he said it was a government building, and if the coalition government failed to make use of it, it showed its inefficiency.
