Elaborate arrangements made for PM Modi's visit to Visakhapatnam to launch major projects, including South Coast Railway Zone.
The Visakhapatnam district authorities have on Friday started making elaborate and foolproof arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city, scheduled on January 8, to launch various major projects.
The programme will be held at the Andhra University Engineering College grounds from 3 p.m. onwards.
District Collectors of north coastal Andhra Pradesh have virtually participated in the special review meeting on the issue organised by Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand at the Secretariat.
As per the information reached here, the Prime Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation for the South Coast Railway Zone in Visakhapatnam. He will also virtually lay the foundation for the NTPC Integrated Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka of Anakapalli district. The NTPC will invest ₹65,370 crore in this project under three phases.
The Prime Minister will also virtually launch the Krishnapatnam Industrial Hub. This project, worth ₹1,518 crore, will be set up on 2,500 acres in the first phase.
Similarly, he will lay the foundation of Bulk Drug Park, which will be set up in Nakkapalli of Anakapalli district at a cost of ₹1,876.66 crore on an area of 2,001.8 acres.
There will a road show from Sampath Vinayagar temple to the venue at the AU campus.
