Naidu betrayed people’s trust by discarding manifesto, neglecting key sectors, alleges Jagan. The NDA government in Andhra Pradesh is steeped in corruption, and those who question are being arrested under harsh laws, says the YSRCP chief. The party will return to power to usher in ‘Jagan 2.0 governance’, he asserts.
Highlighting his government’s ₹2.71 lakh crore DBT schemes and fulfilment of promises despite COVID-19 challenges, YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday criticised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for “neglecting key sectors, failing to fulfil the poll promises and scrapping welfare schemes.”
Addressing the public representatives of unified Guntur district, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the Chief Minister betrayed the people’s trust by discarding the manifesto and neglecting the sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and industries.
The YSRCP had secured 40% vote share in the elections, with a 10% reduction, he said, and attributed it his refusal to make false promises like Mr. Naidu.
Assuring his supporters that he remained deeply connected to the people and would continue in politics for another 25-30 years, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy wondered what would happen to those in the NDA government when people realised the deception.
He said the TDP leaders were afraid to enter villages because they failed to keep their promises. Mocking at Mr. Naidu’s slogans, the YSRCP chief said instead of being a “guarantee for the future,” the Chief Minister became a “guarantee for fraud.”
Slamming the coalition government for involvement in multiple scams, including sand and liquor, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said “corruption has become rampant, bribes have become necessary for any work, gambling clubs are openly operating, and those who question the government are being arrested under harsh laws.”
“People will give a strong lesson,” he said, adding that the YSRCP would return to power to usher in “Jagan 2.0 governance.”
