Puducherry government celebrates Atal Bihari Vajpayee's 100th birth anniversary with special event and welfare assistance distribution.
The Puducherry government on Wednesday organised a special event at Mairie Building to mark the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan, Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, Speaker R. Selvam, Minister for Public Works K. Lakshminarayanan, Minister for Social Welfare Sai J. Saravanan Kumar, Deputy Speaker P. Rajavelu and legislators garlanded the portrait of the former Prime Minister.
Led by Home Minister A. Namassivayam, BJP workers distributed welfare assistance in various constituencies to mark the occasion. Member of Parliament and BJP president V. Selvaganabathy took out a rally from New Bus Stand to the Beach Road as part of birth anniversary celebrations.
