Releasing the results in online mode at a media conference, university Vice-Chancellor Parthasaradhi Varma said 80% of around 1 lakh students who appeared for the examination qualified.
Students can view their results on the university’s official website www.kluniversity.in., he said, adding that the results would be communicated to the students directly.
Based on the marks obtained in the KLEEE and intermediate marks, the meritorious students would be offered scholarships in the form of tuition fee waivers. “This is to support and encourage the students aspiring to join engineering courses,” he said.
The Vice-Chancellor said that the second phase of the engineering entrance test would be conducted from February 7 to 9. “Students who did not secure a satisfactory rank in the first phase, are eligible to appear for the second phase of the exam,” he said.
Referring to the admission process for other courses, Mr. Varma said the university had plans to conduct national-level merit entrance examinations for admissions to the degree, post-graduate and science courses.
