Dhan Foundation conducts walkathon on the theme ‘Development Partnership: Working with Stakeholders’ in Mysuru

DHAN Foundation empowers women in Mysuru through annual walkathon, uniting stakeholders to address social challenges for sustainable development.
DHAN Foundation, an organisation working for the empowerment of women in the Mysuru district, conducted a walkathon in the city on Saturday on the theme “Development Partnership: Working with Stakeholders”.
The organisation, which has achieved notable success in notching up social, economic, and cultural milestones, said the annual walkathon has been held since 2012.
The objective is to create a platform and to unite all stakeholders in addressing critical social and development challenges in alignment with the sustainable development goals. This initiative has been possible due to the unwavering support from government agencies, corporations, and other partners, it added.
DHAN Foundation is active in 16 states and has been functioning in Karnataka for 25 years. In Mysuru, the organisation is active in Mysuru city, Nanjangud, Periyapatana, H.D. Kote, Hunsur, and T. Narsipur, apart from Kollegal in Chamarajanagar and Malavalli in Mandya districts.
The walkathon, which was attended by hundreds of people, began at Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple adjoining the Mysuru Palace and covered the main thoroughfares of the city. There was a felicitation ceremony at JK Grounds. The walkathon was also part of a nationwide event conducted across 50 districts.
