The Ahalia group of institutions and the Kerala State Youth Commission have jointly launched a programme to create awareness among students and teachers against alcohol and drugs. Minister for Power K. Krishnankutty inaugurated the programme titled Youth Against Alcohol and Drugs (YAAD) on the Ahalia campus here on Thursday.
Excise Deputy Commissioner Y. Shibu delivered the keynote address. Vadakarapathy panchayat president Jossi Britto, Youth Commission district coordinator Vijeesh, commission member K. Shajahan, Fr. Albert Anandraj, and YAAD programme coordinator Sreejit M. Nair spoke.
Students, teachers and staff of different Ahalia institutions attended the programme.
