Police to organise marathon in Davangere on Sunday

Join Davangere District Police for the 10K Marathon and 5K Run With Police Marathon-2025, promoting community involvement in policing.
The Davangere District Police will be organising 10K Marathon and 5K Run With Police Marathon-2025 on Sunday, for the second time.
Addressing a press conference in Davangere on Thursday, Inspector-General of Police (Eastern Range) B.R. Ravikanthe Gowda said that students, athletes and the general public above the age of 18 can participate in the Run with Police event.
Those interested are requested to register for the event before 2 p.m. on Saturday, by using the link: https://forms.gle/hU3nccXQ7gMmMVeF7.
Mr. Ravikanthe Gowda said that the 10K Marathon and 5K Marathon events will be flagged off from the district stadium in Davangere at 7 a.m. on Sunday.
The winners of 10K Marathon will get cash prizes of ₹20,000, ₹10,000 and ₹5,000, respectively, and the winners of 5K Marathon will get cash prizes of ₹10,000, ₹5,000 and ₹3,000, respectively.
He said that there will be an exclusive women’s category in the 5K Marathon and the winning woman participants will get cash prizes of ₹10,000, ₹5,000 and ₹3,000, respectively.
He said that the participants should be mandatorily above the age of 18. He will request people with health complications not to participate in the marathon.
