Former Law Minister K.M. Mani gave a human touch to legislation, Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar has said.
Mani was selected as chairperson of the GST Council in recognition of his expertise in the financial and legal sectors, Mr. Arlekar said in his address after presenting the K.M. Mani Legal Excellence Award to Advocate General K. Gopalakrishna Kurup in Kochi on Thursday (March 6, 2025).
The award was instituted by the Kerala Lawyers Congress. Joseph John, State president of the organisation, presided. Jose K. Mani, MP, Viju Abraham, Judge, High Court of Kerala, Stephan George, and Justin Jacob spoke.
