TPCC president accuses BRS of supporting BJP in Telangana elections, urges Congress cadres to ensure victory.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud has accused the BRS of indirectly supporting the BJP in the ensuing Telangana Legislative Council Elections like it did in the last Lok Sabha elections.
The BRS entered into a secret pact with the BJP to defeat the Congress in the MLC elections as it did not find candidates to field in the elections, he charged.
Mr. Goud was speaking after participating in the nomination rally of the party candidate V. Narender Reddy for the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates’ Constituency in Karimnagar on Monday (February 10).
Ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, D. Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakka, Konda Surekha and Jupally Krishna Rao among others took part in the nomination rally.
Training his guns at the BJP, he alleged that the saffron party leaders were infamous for deriving political mileage by pursuing divisive politics.
He said, “The BJP MPs from Telangana have miserably failed to get the State’s due share in the Union Budget. They brought a ‘Gadida Guddu’ (Donkey’s egg), a ‘Big Zero’.”
Take the BJP leaders to task when they come to seek votes, he said.
