Jagga Reddy slams Bandi over comments on Indira Gandhi
The Hindu
TPCC's T. Jagga Reddy criticizes Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar for opposing Indiramma Housing scheme named after Indira Gandhi.
In a scathing attack, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president and former MLA T. Jagga Reddy condemned Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar for his remarks on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Mr. Reddy’s criticism came in response to Mr. Sanjay’s reported opposition to the Indiramma Housing scheme, solely because the scheme was named after her. Mr. Reddy questioned Mr. Sanjay’s knowledge of Indira Gandhi’s achievements, highlighting her contributions to the nation, including her role in Bangladesh’s independence. He also pointed out that the BJP’s criticism of Indira Gandhi only serves to diminish their own credibility, noting that ‘the more you say about Indira Gandhi, the less you benefit’.
Mr. Reddy also suggested that even family members of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah may have been admirers of Indira Gandhi.
