Hyderabad police inspect procession route ahead of Sri Rama Navami
Hyderabad police and civic officials conducted a route inspection on Tuesday in preparation for the Sri Rama Navami processions scheduled for April 6. The inspection took place within the limits of Afzalgunj and Sultan Bazaar police stations to ensure a smooth passage for the religious procession.
DCP (East) B. Balaswamy, along with Additional DCP J. Narsaiah, ACP K. Shankar (Sultan Bazaar Division), and Inspector N. Ravi (Afzalgunj Police Station), inspected the route along with officials from various departments, including GHMC, Revenue, Electrical, HMWS&SB, and Horticulture Department.
The route covered key locations such as Begum Bazaar Chatri, Swastik Mirchi, Bartan Bazaar, S.A. Bazaar Mosque, Shankersher Hotel X Road, Gowliguda, Putlibowli, Andhra Bank, Koti, and Hanuman Vyayamshala.
Officials assessed the arrangements required for crowd management, traffic regulation, and other logistical needs to ensure that the processions proceeds without hindrance.

The 22.7 km Outer Ring Road (ORR) stretch between K.R. Puram and Central Silk Board is set for a major revamp, featuring a white-topped carriageway, uniform service roads, upgraded public utilities, air-conditioned bus shelters, among the proposed plans. The redevelopment work is expected to begin in about four months.
