IndiGo flight to Guwahati returns to Chennai due to technical issue, passengers accommodated on alternative aircraft.
An Guwahati-bound IndiGo flight turned back to Chennai airport on Friday evening. The flight with 165 passengers, departed for Guwahati around 3.50 p.m. After being airborne for almost 50 minutes, it turned back and made an emergency landing due to a technical issue. In a statement, IndiGo said: “Flight 6E 6011 operating from Chennai to Guwahati returned to origin due to technical reasons. An alternative aircraft was arranged to operate the flight, and customers were provided with refreshments in the interim. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to customers due to this delay.”
The passengers departed for Guwahati in the alternative aircraft around 6.30 p.m.
