P. Namperumalsamy, Chairman Emeritus of the Aravind Eye Care System group of institutions, one of the first to bring to India the state of the art vitreoretinal surgery for management of retinal diseases preserving vision in millions of those affected, was honoured for his lifetime contribution to the field of ophthalmology, at an event here on Monday.
Recognising his life-long service to the people, he has been featured in the Docflix (www.docflix.com) White Coat Legend Series, which delves into the life of legendary leaders in the field of medicine, who have been trailblazers in providing accessible and affordable, high quality healthcare to millions of individuals.
The documentary on Dr. Namperumalsamy was launched on the Docflix OTT platform, supported and promoted by Mankind Pharma.
The objective of showcasing the life and times of Dr. Namperumalsamy was to inspire the younger generation of medical professionals to carry forward their timeless legacy into the future, for the larger benefit of humanity.
