208 students pass out of JSS Medical College in Mysuru

JSS Medical College in Mysuru hosts a reception for MBBS graduates, honoring achievers and faculty members.
JSS Medical College, Mysuru, a constituent of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), hosted the graduates’ reception for its MBBS students on Friday.
Achal Gulati, president and Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Jaipur, who was the chief guest, presented the medals and awards to the achievers. The event was attended by Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami of Suttur Math.
A total of 208 MBBS graduates received their certificates during the ceremony, while six meritorious students were honoured with 12 gold medals and 11 cash prizes for their academic excellence.
As part of the event, the graduates took the Hippocratic Oath, reaffirming their commitment to ethical medical practice. Additionally, the best teacher award was conferred upon faculty members for their dedication to teaching, while the research excellence award was presented to faculty with the highest number of publications and citations.
The programme was presided over by C.G. Betsurmath, executive secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, with the participation of other dignitaries, including B. Suresh, pro-chancellor, JSS AHER, H. Basavanagowdappa, Vice-Chancellor of the JSS AHER, and Narayanappa, principal of JSS Medical College.
Established in 1984, JSS Medical College is known for its academic excellence. JSS AHER is accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade and ranked 24th in the NIRF Rankings 2024.
Over the years, the college has produced 5,604 MBBS graduates and 2,490 postgraduate students, who are contributing to healthcare in India and abroad. In recognition of its continued excellence, the college received the Platinum Plus rating from QS-I Gauge subject rankings for 2024, a release from the college stated.
