Telangana Congress criticizes Union Minister Kishan Reddy for favoring KCR, questions BJP's obstruction of state's development.
Telangana Congress stepped up its attack on Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy claiming that he had brought Union Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu to Hyderabad to please BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao and also to claim his cooperation in the Centre clearing permission for the Warangal Airport.
Telangana Congress president Mahesh Kumar Goud at a press conference here claimed that Mr. Ram Mohan Naidu and KCR belong to the same caste and Mr. Reddy planned the Union Minister’s sudden press conference in Hyderabad to give credit to KCR.
“Isn’t it a fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi cleared the file after Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made several representations to him and also personally took up the issue during his meetings with the PM,” he asked and questioned why is Mr. Kishan Reddy trying to take away the credit from the Congress.
Mr. Goud said the Congress doesn’t have any objection to Mr. Kishan Reddy’s friendship with KCR but he should not obstruct Telangana’s development to strengthen the BJP-BRS friendship.
Regarding BJP MP Raghunandan Rao questioning the Congress’s sincerity on BC reservations, he asked why was he silent when Bandi Sanjay, a BC, was removed as the State BJP president and the post was given to Mr. Kishan Reddy.
Mr. Goud claimed that the BJP Union Ministers were obstructing Telangana’s development at every step and spewing venom on the government and also on Telangana. “Is there one instance where all the 8 BJP MPs went to the Prime Minister seeking projects or funds like MPs from other States do,” he asked.
Replying to a question on BRS MLC Kavitha maintaining a ‘Pink Book’, he said that she should fill it up with the BRS scams first. “Congress is the only party that provides opportunities to all castes and minorities. The opposition attacking the caste survey itself shows their frustration that Congress did what they didn’t want to do,” he added.
