Malathi Priya, Conservator of Forests, Mysuru circle, said that youngsters constantly complain of lack of time but if they stop scrolling reels on mobile phones, they will have enough time to focus on studies and crack the competitive examinations. She was speaking here on Wednesday at the valedictory of the coaching classes conducted by the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) for aspirants appearing for banking recruitment examinations.
Ms. Priya said examinations are a way of life. Preparing for one exam helps prepare for other similar tests as well and aspirants should concentrate on chasing their dreams and use mobile phones only for communicating rather than scrolling reels, she added.
Shaik Tanveer Asif, Commissioner, Mysuru City Corporation, underlined the importance of self-confidence in facing the examination. He gave tips on preparations for the exams and underlined the importance of analysis of past question papers. He advised the aspirants to broaden their general knowledge through newspapers and other books. Apart from self-confidence, time management, concentration, and dedication were imperative, he added.
KSOU Vice-Chancellor Sharanappa V. Halase said participants of the coaching camp should cultivate dedication and underlined the importance of relentless effort. Aspirants were also advised to introspect and identify their strengths and weaknesses. K.B. Praveen, Registrar, KSOU, said apart from hard work, smart work was also important and stressed the importance of bringing in passion in the preparations.
Earlier, a compendium of lessons and study material relevant for banking examination was released by the organisers and the resource persons.
