Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin flags off ambulances and launches 'Kalaignar Karuvoolam' and 'Sangathamizh Calendar' in Chennai.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Tuesday flagged off 72 ambulances for the Health Department from the Secretariat in Chennai. During the event, Mr. Stalin also flagged off four four-wheel-drive ambulances designed to serve hilly areas and challenging terrains.
The CM also flagged off 31 new vehicles to provide hearse services and 36 new vehicles under the 102 ambulance service for new mothers. The new ambulances, four-wheel-drive ambulances, hearse vehicles and ambulance services for new mothers were procured at a total cost of ₹30.29 crore.
In another event, Mr. Stalin launched the ‘Kalaignar Karuvoolam’ by Tamil Virtual Academy which features various works of the late former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, as his works have been nationalised. The web page could be accessed at: https://www.tamildigitallibrary.in/kalaignar.
The CM also launched the ‘Sangathamizh Calendar’ that features songs from ancient Sangam literature, along with illustrations with English translation. Ministers Thangam Thennarasu, Ma. Subramanian and Palanivel Thiaga Rajan; Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and senior officials were present.
