Modi calls on students to embrace new technologies

Speaking for a majority of the students of his generation, M.B. Tarun, a 1 PUC student of Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya, posed a question to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on concentration on studies amidst distractions.

He was among the handful of students selected to pose a question to the Prime Minister during the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme in which Mr. Modi interacted with students across India.

The programme which was telecast live and to view which arrangements were made at various schools, saw Mr. Modi speaking on examination stress and the best means to beat it with a slew of tips.

The interaction programme followed Mr. Modi’s address and when it was Tarun’s turn he asked how to pursue an online mode of study despite so many distractions including the omnipresence of social media.

 Tarun is astudent of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Maranagowdanahalli in Mysuru district. Similar questions were raised by a few other students and teachers as well.

In reply Mr. Modi said whether it was online or offline, the problem was the mind and lapse in concentration also affects students during offline classes.

Elaborating his point, the Prime Minister said be it online or offline when the mind is oncentrated, distractions won’t bother the students.
