Cabinet approves dynamic queue system, compensation for farmers, knowledge society policy and solar power projects in Andhra Pradesh.
Minister for Information and Public Relations Kolusu Parthasarathy on Thursday said that the Cabinet has approved the proposal to introduce a dynamic queue management system (appointment-based registration) in the Registration and Stamps Department to reduce congestion at registration offices and ensure smoother processes.
The Minister said the proposed Advance Slot Booking and Queue Management System would be helpful to the public as well. They can choose the time slot of their choice, and avoid waiting long hours at the registration offices. It was noticed that the turnout of the public would be high on certain days, such as auspicious days, and lean on the remaining days. The new system would help to address such issues, he said.
The Cabinet also approved a proposal to relax G.O.Ms.No.571, Rev. (Assign.1) Dept., Dt:14.09.2012, and provide one-time compensation of ₹8 lakh an acre to farmers occupying land in Tirupati district as part of the Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor.
The Cabinet approved the draft of the ‘Andhra Pradesh Knowledge Society and Capacity Building Policy 2025’ to establish a capacity-building center similar to the Marri Chenna Reddy HRD Center in united Andhra Pradesh.
The Cabinet approved several proposals from the Energy Department to reduce the burden of electricity charges on the State and its people, including the allocation of approximately 3,200 MW of solar power capacity, with investments of around ₹5,500 crore and 3,500 job opportunities.
The Cabinet approved several other solar power project allocations to various companies, including Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, SAEL Solar MHP1 Private Limited and Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited, among others, he added.
