Minister flags off buses, conducts review meeting in Salem

Tourism Minister R. Rajendran flags off new bus routes in Salem, reviews services, and conducts a meeting with officials.
Tourism Minister R. Rajendran flagged off bus services to new routes at Salem Old Bus Stand and conducted a review meeting with the officials at the Salem Collectorate on Monday.
Based on the request from the public, the Minister flagged off the bus services to five new routes.
Similarly, the Minister flagged off services of four buses by changing their routes. The bus that operated between Thalaivasal and Attur will be operated to Puthur, the Attur-Vazhapadi bus will be operated to Punalvasal, and the Salem-Mettur bus that operated via the thermal plant will be operated via Salem Camp. Likewise, five bus service routes were extended.
The Minister also inaugurated the air-conditioned resting halls for drivers and transport workers at the Attur, Vazhapadi, Sankari, and Mettur bus depots.
Later, the Minister participated in the review meeting conducted at the Salem Collectorate with all department officials. He reviewed the action taken on petitions received in Makkaludan Mudhalvar special camps, Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril camps, and weekly grievances redress day.
The Minister instructed officials to take quick action on petitions demanding land pattas and verified scheme works taking place at the Salem Corporation. The Minister asked the officials to create awareness about loans provided to people under various schemes and give wide publicity for the Mudhalvar Marunthagam.
District Collector R. Brindha Devi and officials from various departments participated.
