Karnatak University signs MoU with Universidad de Tarapaca of Chile

Karnatak University partners with Universidad de Tarapaca for academic and research collaboration, enhancing global reputation and opportunities.
With an intent to improving further the quality of education through collaboration in academic and research initiatives, Karnatak University, Dharwad (KUD), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universidad de Tarapaca, Arica, Chile.
Speaking after signing the MoU, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Karnatak University Jayashree S. said that improving the quality of education requires forging agreements with international academic institutions to support educational activities.
Prof. Jayashree said that the MoU is crucial for academic and research development of both students and faculty members of the university.
She urged the faculty members and students of the university to engage in research on key subjects, publish research papers and share their knowledge with partner universities so as to enhance the university’s global reputation.
David Laroche from Universidad de Tarapaca, Registrar of Karnatak University A. Chennappa, Vice-Chancellor of Davangere University B.D. Kumbar, Finance Officer of Karnatak University C. Krishnamurthy, Coordinator of the Prime Minister’s Higher Education Initiative Rajashekhar Bhajantri and others were present.
Karnatak University’s MoU with Universidad De Tarapaca covers various academic disciplines such as science, social sciences, arts, law, commerce and management.
Through this collaboration, students and faculty from both universities will have an opportunity to conduct research, participate in workshops and conferences and explore significant research topics.
