Deputy CM invites EU delegation to Telangana for business opportunities, highlighting state's progressive policies and skilled workforce.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has invited the European Union delegation to lead a business delegation to Telangana and help us make connections with the investors and business community in the EU states who have shown an interest to come to India.
During an interaction with the EU chief in New Delhi on Friday night, Mr. Bhatti said: “Telangana and our capital city of Hyderabad can be your perfect Gateway to India.” He invited the world to come to Telangana, he said adding that it was the government’s responsibility to ensure that overseas companies got access to the global standard talent.
“We have taken some very pathbreaking initiatives to ensure availability of high class skills in our workforce. We have started a new university exclusively focused on skills which is called Young India Skills University. The uniqueness of this university is that every course is designed and delivered by industry partners,” he explained about the Young India Skill University.
He asserted that the government has taken step to modernise all industrial training institutions and ensure that students read latest curriculum and get practice on state of the art machinery. “We are also reforming our basic education so that children from a young age are groomed to become productive assets when they become older,” he added.
Mr. Bhatti boasted that of the 28 States, Telangana is rated as one of the most progressive States with business friendly policies, and a very good track record for ground level execution. “One of the most noticeable feature of our State is a continuity of policy. Regime changes are common, but unfortunately, we see large-scale reversal of policies just for the sake of it. But our case in Telangana is very different,” he added.
He said for the last 2-3 decades, successive governments have ensured that all the policies that have benefited the State and have benefited the people are continued. “Our current Congress government in the State is doing exactly the same. We have taken over last year after 10 years of another government, but we have ensured continuity, and at the same time, we have identified areas where there was a policy gap and we have tried to fill that with new and progressive policies,” he noted.
