Marico Innovation Foundation recently marked the 10th edition of its flagship initiative, Indian Innovation Icons 2025, with a grand celebration at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. The event spotlighted seven start-ups - three of which hail from Bengaluru, that are redefining innovation in India.

In the Business category, Astrome Technologies has created India’s first commercial product in the E-band spectrum to provide wireless backhaul infrastructure used for telecommunication services in rural and remote areas where fibres can not reach.
Chara Technologies has developed a rare-earth magnet-free Synchronous Reluctance Motor system for electric vehicle and industrial applications. The motors are on par with permanent magnet-based motors in terms of performance while being 30-40% more cost-effective.
Social category, AssisTech Foundation, an ecosystem enabler to accelerate assistive technology (AT) start-ups, positively impacted the lives of people with disabilities through various programmes, including start-up acceleration, global collaboration, and community engagement for awareness and enabling inclusion and empowerment.
