Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Wednesday stood at 113 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 feet) with an inflow of 105 cusecs and a discharge of 105 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 56.43 feet (71 feet) with nil inflow and a discharge of 722 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 1,986.33 mcft.
Sothupparai dam recorded a rainfall of 35.8 mm, Elumalai 0.4 mm and Mullaperiyar dam 0.2 mm in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
