Workshop on etools and cyber security held in Puducherry

NIC Puducherry workshop focuses on eTools and Cyber Security for digital governance, promoting transparency and accountability in eServices.
The National Informatics Centre (NIC), Puducherry, in collaboration with the Puducherry State IT Department, organised a workshop on eTools and Cyber Security in a private hotel here on Monday.
Attended by senior officials from the Union Territory administration and NIC, New Delhi, the workshop focused on key digital governance tools, including eTaal (Electronic Transaction Aggression and Analysis Layer), a portal developed by NIC that offer centralised platform for real-time monitoring and analysis of electronic transactions across government services, an official release here said.
Director General, NIC, Delhi, Inder Pal Singh Sethi, said eTaal promotes transparency, accountability and data driven governance by enabling stakeholders to assess the performance of eServices at national, State and district levels. He said eTaal served as a vital reporting tool to justify government expenditure on egovernance initiatives.
Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan, in his address, underscored the importance of showcasing the Union Territory’s e-transactions on the eTaal platform and urged all of Puducherry’s e-governance applications to share their transaction data with the eTaal portal to enhance visibility and accountability.
Commissioner-cum-Secretary (IT) A. Muthamma highlighted the contributions of NIC Puducherry to digital initiatives, IT-enabled governance and the overall digital transformation in Union Territory. Heads of various departments, senior officials and IT professionals attended the workshop.
