Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Sunday stood at 113.15 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 feet) with an inflow of 117 cusecs and a discharge of 300 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 58.40 feet (maximum level 71 feet) with an inflow of 33 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 2,336.33 mcft. Rainfall recorded in last 24 hours (in mm): Kodaikanal 10, Sothupparai 2, Periyar 1.4, Manjalar dam 1 and Veerapandi 0.4

The ‘calculations’ involving the AIADMK yet again emerged as a topic of discussion in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Wednesday (March 26, 2025).
