HYDERABAD
Minister for Irrigation, Food, and Civil Supplies Uttam Kumar Reddy delivered an inspiring guest lecture at the TEDx event at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad on Sunday.
The speech showcased his extraordinary journey from serving as an MIG-23 fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force to becoming a stalwart in Indian politics. Introduced as the final speaker of the event, Mr. Reddy’s illustrious career was highlighted, starting from his graduation from the National Defence Academy and culminating in his service as aide to two Presidents of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
In politics, he has been elected seven consecutive times as an MLA and MP. He also served as the TPCC president and was a Cabinet minister in Andhra Pradesh.
The Minister shared his experience of leadership in challenging conditions, emphasising on the values of commitment, adaptability and service to the nation. He detailed how his journey in diverse fields shaped his vision and approach to governance.

When reporters brought to her notice the claim by villagers that the late maharaja of Mysore Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar had gifted the land to them, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar said she is not aware of the matter, but sought to assure people that no effort will be made to take back the land that had been gifted by the late maharaja.
