Minor fire incident at Park Hyatt hotel in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad triggers panic, quickly contained by firefighters.
A minor fire incident triggered panic among the guests and passers-by on the busy Road Number 2 in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on Monday (April 14, 2025) morning, after thick plumes of smoke were seen rising from the cellar of the Park Hyatt hotel.
According to officials from the Fire Department’s Control Room, a distress call was received at around 8.50 a.m., prompting the dispatch of two fire tenders—one each from the Jubilee Hills and Secretariat fire stations. Firefighters arrived at the scene and worked to contain the situation.
“The fire was electrical in nature and largely resulted in heavy smoke. There were no casualties, injuries, or the need for rescue operations,” said a senior officials from the Fire department.
The smoke was brought under control without any major damage or disruption to the building. The Fire officials were expected to conduct a follow-up inspection to check on the origin and cause of the fire.
