Union Minister inaugurates public utilities funded by RVF in West Godavari district

Union Minister and Deputy Speaker inaugurate ₹34 crore developmental works in West Godavari district sponsored by Raju Vegesna Foundation.
Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathi Raju Srinivas Varma and Deputy Speaker R. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju on Friday inaugurated various developmental works worth ₹34 crore, sponsored by Raju Vegesna Foundation (RVF) chairman Ananta Koti Raju, at Ganapavaram and the surrounding villages in West Godavari district.
Industrialist and philanthropist Mr. Ananta Koti Raju, who was born in Ganapavaram, developed a drinking water pond at a cost of ₹20 crore through the foundation. In Jagannadhapuram village, the foundation completed various developmental works worth ₹15 crore, which included a drinking water pond, an RO water plant, and classrooms for the MPUP School.
Mr. Srinivas Varma lauded Mr. Koti Raju’s initiatives for the development of his native village and the Unguturu Assembly constituency through his foundation.
Water Resources Minister Nimmala Rama Naidu, Mr. Koti Raju’s wife Bala Saraswathi and other officials were present.

When reporters brought to her notice the claim by villagers that the late maharaja of Mysore Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar had gifted the land to them, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar said she is not aware of the matter, but sought to assure people that no effort will be made to take back the land that had been gifted by the late maharaja.
