Honouring Bhagavathars at Namasankeerthana Vizha 2024 with prestigious titles and awards, supported by Bhagavatha Seva Trust.
Two Bhagavathars were honoured at the Namasankeerthana Vizha 2024 held by the Integrated Academy for Performing Arts, the Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, and the Bhagavatha Seva Trust here on Sunday.
While Marudhanallur Sri Kannan Bhagavathar was conferred the title Sankeerthana Kalanidhi, Sri Harihara Subramania Bhagavathar was presented with the title Sankeerthana Choodamani. Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham seer Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya participated in the event virtually and spoke.
Udaiyalur K. Kalyanarama Bhagavathar, managing trustee of Bhagavatha Seva Trust said they had been running a trust for a long time with the primary objective of helping out Bhagawathars. He said the trust provided monetary assistance to several deserving Bhagawathars who lived in villages and remote areas. Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swami said the trust was working towards the noble cause of helping the Bhagavathars.
While the Accompaniment (Harmonium) Support Award was presented to Sampath Kumar, the Best Percussion (Dolki) Support Award was given to Lakshmi Narasimhan. The Bhagavatha Kainkarya Sironmani Award went to V. Sujatha.
ACB files case against IPS officer N. Sanjay in Andhra Pradesh.
