Hyderabad traffic police issue advisory for Telangana Talli statue unveiling event, causing traffic diversions and road closures on December 9.
The Hyderabad Traffic police have issued an advisory in view of the unveiling of the Telangana Talli statue and the carnival on NTR Marg, which will take place as part of the ‘Praja Palana–Praja Vijayotsavalu’ at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat on December 9. The event will result in traffic diversions and road closures from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
At Buddha Bhavan, traffic from the area will be diverted towards Karbala and Ranigunj instead of being allowed to proceed towards P.V. N.R. Marg (Necklace Road). Similarly, at Nallagutta X Roads, vehicles coming from Minister Road will be redirected to Ranigunj instead of being allowed towards Necklace Road. At V.V. Statue near Khairatabad, traffic coming from Panjagutta and Raj Bhavan towards NTR Marg and P.V. N.R. Marg will be diverted towards Shadan College and Lakdikapool.
At Iqbal Minar, traffic coming from Telugu Thalli towards Old PS Saifabad will be diverted towards Ravindra Bharathi, and traffic coming from Ravindra Bharathi towards Old PS Saifabad will be redirected towards Telugu Talli Flyover or Telugu Talli Junction. At South-East Junction, vehicles coming from Iqbal Minar and Telugu Thalli towards Necklace Rotary will be diverted towards the Ambedkar Statue and Tankbund. Traffic at New Telugu Talli Junction coming from the Ambedkar Statue towards NTR Marg will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar.
At Printing Press Junction, vehicles coming from Khairatabad Bada Ganesh will be diverted towards the Mint Compound lane, while traffic from Iqbal Minar to Mint Lane will be redirected towards Telugu Thalli Junction.
These diversions are expected to cause congestion at various key junctions, including Buddha Bhavan, Nallagutta X Roads, V.V. Statue (Khairatabad), Iqbal Minar, New Telugu Talli Junction, Printing Press Junction, Old PS Saifabad, Ravindra Bharathi, Katta Maisamma Junction, Old Ambedkar Statue and Liberty Junction. Commuters are advised to avoid these areas during the mentioned hours.
Public parking has been arranged at several locations, including L.B. Stadium, Adarsh Nagar Lane, GHMC Lane, Ravindra Bharathi, Opposite Prasad Imax Theatre, Ramleela Maidan, Chintalbasthi, Haj House, MMTS Railway Station on Necklace Road, Bharat Scouts and Guides School Ground in Domalguda, Snow World and one side of the Khairatabad Flyover towards V.V. Statue.
