Stating that the naxals who surrendered recently should fight cases registered against them on their own, Home Minister G. Parameshwara on Monday said that the State government will help them as per rules.
Suitable compensation will be given to police personnel who died in the operation against naxals, he told presspersons after inaugurating a newly constructed police station in Yadgir.
On the threat call to a Udupi school, Dr. Parameshwara said that the State’s cyber police are the best in the country and they will conduct thorough investigation.

On online game menace, the Home Minister said that a new post of Director-General of Police will be created to handle cybersecurity and related cases.
If the Superintendent of Police sends a proposal for establishing new police stations at Konkal in Gurmitkal, Khanapur in Wadegara taluk and Kakkera in Hunsagi taluk, it will be verified as per norms by the National Police Commission. Yadgir Town Police Station will be upgraded, he added.
He said that there are 16,000 posts vacant in the department and they will be filled soon.
