Madras Matinee is the title of actor Sathyaraj’s upcoming Tamil movie, the makers announced on Friday (March 4). Also starring Kaali Venkat in the lead, the film is set to release in May.
The title poster, designed in a retro poster style, shows a middle-class house next to a statue covered in cloth. A street dog can also be seen urinating on the statue. According to the makers, the film features Sathyaraj as a science-fiction writer.
Directed by Karthikeyan Mani, the film also features Roshni Haripriyan and Shelly in pivotal roles. Vishwa, George Maryan, Archana Chandhoke, Sunil Sukhada and Chaams are also part of the cast.
With music scored by KC Balasarangan, the film has cinematography by Anand GK and editing by Satheesh Kumar Samuski. Arch Thomason, Robert Martichenko, Corinne Martichenko, Karthikeyan Mani and Dev Ananth produce Madras Matinee under the Madras Motion Pictures banner. Dream Warrior Pictures is presenting the film.
