Salem has 29.99 lakh voters, and Namakkal has 14.54 lakh voters in final electoral roll

Final electoral roll released for Salem and Namakkal districts, showing total voters and constituency breakdowns.
The final electoral roll of the special summary revision of the photo electoral roll, which was released on Monday, shows that Salem district has a total of 29,99,953 voters across 11 Assembly constituencies, while Namakkal district has 14,54,272 voters across six Assembly constituencies.
Salem District Collector R. Brindha Devi released the final electoral roll in the presence of recognised political party representatives at the Collectorate.
The Collector said that as on January 1, 2025, as a qualifying date, a draft electoral roll was released on October 29, 2024. Special camps were conducted on November 16, 17, 23, and 24 in all polling booths, and applications were received until November 28, and on Monday, the final electoral roll was released.
In the special summary revision held between October 29 and November 28, 74,976 voters were newly included and 36,536 voter names deleted. Voters aged between 18-19 60,356, are included in the final electoral roll, the Collector added.
As per the final electoral roll, Salem district has a total of 29,99,953 voters, including 14.87 lakh men, 15.11 lakh female, and 324 third gender voters. The Salem West Assembly constituency has the most number of voters in the district, with 3.05 lakh, followed by 3.02 lakh in Omalur, 2.90 lakh in Edappadi, 2.86 lakh in Yercaud (ST), 2.77 lakh in Mettur, 2.72 lakh in Sankari, 2.71 lakh in Salem North, 2.63 lakh in Veerapandi, 2.54 lakh in Salem South, 2.43 lakh in Attur (SC), and 2.31 lakh voters in Gangavalli (SC).
Likewise, Namakkal District Collector S. Uma released the final electoral roll. The district has 14, 54,272 voters, including 7.02 lakh men, 7.51 lakh female, and 252 third gender voters in six constituencies.
Namakkal Assembly constituency has the most number of voters, 2.61 lakh, followed by 2.59 lakh in Komarapalayam, 2.47 lakh in Sendamangalam (ST), 2.34 lakh in Rasipuram (SC), 2.30 lakh in Tiruchengode, and 2.20 lakh in the Paramathi Velur constituency.
