With temperatures continuing to climb across Telangana, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow heatwave warning for two districts — Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam — for Monday (April 14). The advisory states that heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets of these regions.
Hyderabad and its surrounding areas are expected to witness partly cloudy skies over the next 48 hours, with hazy mornings and temperatures hovering around 39°C during the day and 24°C at night, according to the IMD forecast.
Data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) reveals that Mancheiral was the hottest location on Saturday, recording a maximum temperature of 43.6°C. It was followed closely by Kumaram Bheem Asifabad and Khammam at 43.3°C, Jagtial at 43.2°C, Nirmal at 43.1°C, and both Peddapalli and Nalgonda at 43°C.

In addition to enforcement, BMRCL plans to roll out a wide-reaching awareness campaign aimed at educating commuters about the ill-effects and penalties associated with using tobacco products in metro areas. Officials have appealed to the public to support the initiative and help maintain a pleasant commuting environment for all.
