Centre’s intelligence failure led to Pahalgam terror attack, says Karnataka CM

Earlier in 2019, a terror attack occurred in Pulwama due to failure of the intelligence mechanism, the Chief Minister said.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said ‘intelligence failure’ of the Central Government is responsible for the terror attack at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
“It’s planned attack, and this is the failure of the Central Government’s intelligence gathering process,” he told reporters in Bengaluru on April 23.

Mr. Siddaramaiah condemned the terror attack, which claimed the lives of two persons from Karnataka, and said the government would consider the possibility of giving compensation to families of the terror victims.
