Adani Krishnapatnam Port CEO emphasizes behaviour-based safety for employees to reduce road risks, promoting safety culture.
Road safety is rooted in the psychology of behaviour-based safety and therefore employees and workers should take better decisions to lower their risks, Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jagdish Patel has said.
Speaking on the occasion of 36th National Road Safety Month programme, the CEO said that the safety behaviour should never ever end at the exit gate of the workplace, but it should continue till the employees and workers reach their homes.
“Hence safety should become an integral part of the life and behaviour-based safety should become the foundation for safety management systems,” he said.
The CEO released the Safety Pocket Book, published by the AKPL Security and Safety team to create awareness on road safety on various fronts.
Mr. Jagdish Patel distributed prizes to the students of Adani Vidya Mandir and Adani World School, who performed well in the drawing competition and also to those employees and business associates who fared well in the online quiz competition.
AKPL Chief Operating Officer Rajan Babu and others were present on the occasion.

“Earth Day celebrations have already started in Bengaluru, with campaigns at various colleges such as St. Josephs, and Christ University where life-size elephants made from the invasive species, Lantana Camera, have been travelling to spread the message of conservation and coexistence, along with expert talks from WWF India and Ravi Chellam of Metastring Foundation,” said the release.
