Puducherry CM inaugurates week-long books and toys fair

'Kids Books and Toys Fair 2025' inaugurated by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, featuring 60 stalls, local artist performances, and food stalls.
Chief Minister N. Rangasamy inaugurated ‘Kids Books and Toys Fair 2025’ organised by the Art and Culture Department at the Kamarajar Manimandapam complex on Wednesday.
Over 60 stalls have been put up at the seven-day fair, which would feature performances of 300 local artistes every evening. Food stalls have also been set up to attract children and accompanying parents.
Speaker R. Selvam, Art and Culture Minister P.R.N. Thirumurugan, A. John Kumar, Parliamentary secretary to the Chief Minister and A. Nedunchezhiyan, Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor participated.

“Earth Day celebrations have already started in Bengaluru, with campaigns at various colleges such as St. Josephs, and Christ University where life-size elephants made from the invasive species, Lantana Camera, have been travelling to spread the message of conservation and coexistence, along with expert talks from WWF India and Ravi Chellam of Metastring Foundation,” said the release.
