Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan promises improved road connectivity and healthcare for tribal areas, laying foundation stone.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development K. Pawan Kalyan on December 20 (Friday) promised that the government would improve the road connectivity and healthcare facilities in the tribal areas.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation stone for laying a road between Bagujola to Sirivara in Makkuva mandal of Parvatipuram-Manyam district, amid inclement weather. He said the government would spend around ₹36.71 crore on laying new roads on 19 routes.
He said that the patients, pregnant women would not be carried in dolis any more once adequate healthcare facilities and good road connectivity were ensured.
The local residents praised Mr. Pawan Kalyan for the road project. Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister took a walk on ghat roads though the security personnel requested him not to do so. He said it was a rare opportunity for him to spend time in the lap of nature.
Parvatipuram-Manyam district Collector A. Shyam Prasad and other officials were present.
