
No grace marks for class 10 students, says Karnataka CM

The Chief Minister said he opposed the grace marks given last year.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah told the Karnataka Legislative Assembly that no grace marks would be awarded to class 10 students who are appearing for the examination from March 21.
Making a statement on March 20, the Chief Minister said he opposed the grace marks given last year. He said grace marks were given during the COVID-19 pandemic, but there will be no grace marks this year.
The Chief Minister said that students would be provided free transport to examination centres.
Earlier, Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa explained the steps taken by the government to conduct the class 10 examination without any hassle.
Leader of Opposition R. Ashok said that all those involved in posting fake question papers on social media should be put behind bars. The Education department should create awareness about posting of question papers on social media by anti-social elements, he said.
