Prime Video annnounces Season 2 of ‘Dupahiya’

Amazon Prime Video announces second season of Dupahiya, a comedy series set in a quirky village with stolen motorcycle mystery.
Amazon Prime Video has announced the second season of their recent comedy series, Dupahiya. Starring Gajraj Rao, Sparsh Shrivastava, Shivani Raghuvanshi and others, the nine-episode first season revolved around a stolen motorcycle in a ‘crime-free’ village. It was created by created and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg and directed by Sonam Nair.
The second season will continue the story of Dhadakpur, a fictitious village in Bihar, and its oddball residents. While plot details are yet to emerge, a poster bears the tagline ‘Sapno Ka Chakkajam’ (traffic-snarl of dreams).
Renuka Shahane, Bhuvan Arora and Yashpal Sharma also played key roles in Dupahiya. The series received mixed to positive reviews and drew comparisons to Panchayat, another Prime Video series built around the comics happenings in a North Indian village.
