Id celebrated in Kalaburagi

Muslims in Kalaburagi celebrate Id-ul-Fitr with prayers, new clothes, and communal harmony, sharing delicacies with friends of all faiths.
The month-long fasting observed by Muslim brethrens came to an end with the celebrations of Id-ul-Fitr here on Monday. Ramzan was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety by devout Muslims.
Muslims attired in new clothes, offered special Salat prayer at various mosques and idgahs in the city.
Prayers were offered at the historic Jamia Masjid inside the Kalaburagi Fort, Sheikh Roza Masjid, Dabarabad Idgah near Shor Gumbad and Hagarga Idgah on the outskirts of the city.
People participated in large numbers to offer prayers at KCT Ground and National Grounds in the city.
Communal harmony was witnessed at mosques and idgahs as people belonging to different religious beliefs reached to extend their greetings to their friends.
Muslims invited their friends and neighbours belonging to various faiths to celebrate the festival by sharing specially prepared delicacies on the occasion.
