Need to establish Telugu University in the State, says Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh

Tourism & Cinematography Minister emphasizes need for Telugu University, vows to protect language prominence and boost tourism projects.
Tourism & Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh has said that there is a need to establish Telugu University in the State. He said that the State government is committed to protecting the prominence of Telugu. He was speaking as a chief guest during the birth anniversary celebrations of noted scholar and writer Paravastu Chinnayasuri, organised by Paravastu Vidyapeetam, held at Visakha Public Library here on Friday.
Paying floral tributes to the portrait of the great scholar, Mr. Durgesh said that it is a blessing to take part in the programme and recalled the services and contribution of Paravastu Chinnayyasuri to Telugu language.
The Minister said the popularity of Telugu is slightly decreasing gradually and sought public support to restore the prominence of the language. During the programme, the Minister felicitated noted writer Ravi Kumar.
Mr. Durgesh also said that a number of investors are coming forward to invest in tourism projects across Visakhapatnam. He said that soon the government would release dates for the tourism festivals in the State.
