Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson Nita Ambani on Sunday (January 19, 2025) extended their congratulations to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump at a private reception in Washington DC ahead of his inauguration.
The Ambanis expressed their hope for deeper India-U.S. relations to the President-elect and wished him a transformative second term of leadership at the White House.
The couple further emphasised the potential for progress and collaboration between the two nations and the world during his presidency.
The Ambanis will be attending Trump’s inauguration ceremony at the U.S. Capitol on January 20, according to an official involved with planning the event.
The inaugural events started on Saturday with a reception and fireworks display at the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia.
On Sunday, Nita and Mukesh Ambani attended a “candlelight dinner” with President-elect Trump and an intimate experience with Vice President-elect J.D. and Usha Vance.
Inauguration Day will feature a number of high-profile attendees.
